Developed differently from home country
Denny's is an American family restaurant chain that came to Japan when I was a university student.
I was surprised by the American-style menu, which is completely different from Japanese family restaurants, and the free refills of coffee.
Nearly 50 years have passed since then, and Denny's in Japan has developed independently from Denny's in the United States.
The main menu is set meals that come with miso soup and side dishes, such as pork cutlet set meals and fried oyster set meals.
Few variations of sandwiches, no burritos or nachos.
Of course, in the United States, where the parking lot situation is good, I imagine that there are almost no Denny's set up on the parking lot like this photo.
